Runa Capital was founded in 2010 by a group of successful serial IT entrepreneurs, each with significant experience building companies, and has since become a successful global VC firm with European roots.

Runa I, the first fund with $135M raised, already has impressive results with its succeseful exits. Second fund, Runa II, launched in 2014 and operating another $135M and is currently in active stage and looking for new opportunities.

Runa's focus includes early stage tech startups developing cloud applications for business, complex tech (middleware, machine intelligence, cloud infrastructure) or IT solutions for vertical markets (fintech, edutech, digital healthcare). Geographically, the investments will focus on companies mostly in the Unites States and Europe.
