Lindblad provides expedition cruising and adventure travel experiences using itineraries that feature up-close encounters with wildlife, nature, history, and culture, and promote guest empowerment and interactivity. The Company aims to offer life-changing adventures on all seven continents and pioneer innovative ways to allow its guests to connect with exotic and remote places. Lindblad's expedition ships, which consist of several owned vessels and seasonal charter vessels are customized, nimble and intimately-scaled vessels that are able to venture where larger cruise ships cannot, thus allowing it to offer up-close experiences in the planet’s wild and remote places and capitals of culture.

Many of these expeditions involve travel to remote places with limited infrastructure and ports (such as Antarctica and the Arctic) including places that are best accessed by a ship (such as the Galápagos, Alaska, Baja’s Sea of Cortez, Costa Rica, Cuba and Panama), and foster active engagement by guests. Each expedition ship is designed to be comfortable and inviting, while being fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools for in-depth exploration. In addition to its sea- based expeditions, the Company offers land-based, eco-conscious expeditions from Antarctica to Zambia primarily through its ownership of Natural Habitat, Inc.
