Lagan Construction Group

Lagan Construction Group is a private family owned construction business which was established in 1962 by Peter Lagan. The company has grown from its quarrying activity origins to be the major international civil engineering and building contractor that exists today. In 1994, Charles Brand Ltd was taken over by the Lagan Construction Group of companies. Charles Brand & Son has been associated with major Civil Engineering works in the UK and Ireland, since commencing in Scotland in 1829. Today, Lagan Construction Group is involved in many sectors and geographies originally pioneered by Charles Brand. In 2010 the group of Lagan companies separated and Lagan Construction Group is now led by Michael Lagan. Lagan Construction Group remains a private family owned construction business. This successful growth has been achieved both organically by continual re-investment and through a number of strategic mergers and acquisitions. As a leading construction business founded on more than 50 years’ experience, we work across Ireland, the UK and internationally undertaking infrastructure, capital and maintenance projects through a variety of procurement routes for public and private organisations. On the 1st of April 2015, H&J Martin joined the Lagan Construction Group of companies, bringing together two family owned and run businesses that have many similarities and synergies. The integration makes them one of the largest construction and civil engineering groups on the island of Ireland. H&J Martin will operate two main divisions within the Lagan Construction Group of companies, Asset Management Services and Construction & Fit Out. As a 3rd generation private family business we are proud of our values and our culture which are at the heart of our company and set the standard for how we behave. Our business is driven by the needs of our clients, partners and our people. We are motivated by a passion to deliver excellence through expertise. As a dynamic and innovative company, we continually explore new market opportunities to develop and expand our business. We are proud of our reputation and our people. We are proud to make a difference.
