Senior Data Engineer

Location: San Francisco

Responsibilities:

  • Building a data extraction engine for structuring data from unstructured sources

  • Automation of content aggregation

  • Preparation of data sets for predictive modeling

  • Supporting the web-development team in implementing verified machine learning / deep learning algorithms in production applications

  • Statistical analysis of user activity

  • General data quality control

General Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a mathematical discipline such as Applied Statistics, Natural Language Processing (or equivalent), Maths or Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer

  • Solid experience of Python (numpy/pandas/nltk/scikit-learn), R and Java (Scala)

  • Practical knowledge of algorithms and techniques such as: Logistical Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Naïve Bayes, Clustering, etc.

  • Solid experience with NLP, n-grams, Word2Vec, etc.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB. Ability to build complex SQL-queries

Business Development Manager

Location: London, U.K

Craft is seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team in London to lead a variety of business development and sales initiatives for the Craft platform with a focus on the U.K and European market.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify new potential clients and sales leads for Craft’s API and datasets product

  • Actively reach out to prospective clients via multiple channels, set up meetings and pitch Craft and its API to them

  • Acquire new customers as well as manage existing customer relationships

  • Develop tools to collect and model customer satisfaction

  • Collect feedback from existing customers and propose changes to existing process and product to executive teams

  • Develop best practice sales guide for Craft

General Requirements:

  • Business development experience in data analytics space is an advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or management

Content Manager

Location: Minsk, Belarus

Craft is seeking a Content Manager to join our growing team in Minsk, Belarus.  The role is focused on curating and validating data and content relating to companies, industry sectors and jobs for publication on the Craft website.  Craft uses advanced data aggregation technology including machine learning and natural language processing techniques, and the role of the content team is to validate and curate the data that is collected, as well as continually improve and streamline the collection and validation process.  

Responsibilities:

  • Create company profiles for publication on public-facing website, using proprietary admin interface and data aggregation technology

  • Monitoring and improving data quality throughout the platform

  • Research and complete topical analyses on companies and sectors, e.g. team composition, financial and operational metrics analysis on selected sector groups

  • Identify and recommend improvements to content creation profile throughout the team, for development and implementation by the technology team

General Requirements:

  • Very good/Excellent written and spoken English

  • Excellent attention to detail and system thinking

  • Strong computer skills, e.g. experience with spreadsheets (e.g. Excel or Google Sheets)

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and other web technologies is valued

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Strong execution, communication, and organization, comfortable executing with little oversight to drive results, highly adaptable and strong ability to think ahead
