Hammer & Chisel

Founded by the team behind OpenFeint, we’re a small group of passionate gamers who have grown services to more than 300M users. Hammer & Chisel has so far raised over $12M from top VCs like Benchmark, Accel, and Tencent.

Our first product, Fates Forever, is a critically acclaimed MOBA for iPad, which received Apple’s Editors Choice award July 2014. Out of Fates we’ve evolved a new service that is kind of like TeamSpeak or Skype for gamers: Discord.

270M gamers use apps like TeamSpeak and Skype to communicate while playing online games. These apps haven't been updated in years and no longer meet our needs. We got fed up and decided to fix it. So we're now focused on building Discord, the best all-in-one voice and text chat app for gamers that’s free, secure, and works on both desktop and phone.
