Jobs and Hiring in the Music Streaming Sector

At Craft, one of the data-points we collect daily is the number of jobs a company is advertising on its careers page.

At Craft, one of the data-points we collect daily is the number of jobs a company is advertising on its careers page. Over time, this gives a view into which companies are increasing their hiring, and which are cutting down.

In the Music Streaming category, Spotify has the largest number of openings by a wide margin, 168 currently, up from 135 a quarter ago. Next largest is Pandora, who has cut their openings by almost half in the last 2 months, from 150 to 84. Interestingly, Soundcloud started Q4 of 2015 with 20 job openings, and these have now decreased to 3 currently.

In future, we will overlay this with data about the size of companies, and also how the job openings are distributed by role.
